Responsibilities

• Expert ability to hand-code in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for creating, modifying and editing
• Skillful understanding of PHP, mySQL(MariaDB) for maintaining and improving web sites/applications
• Knowledge in front-end website frameworks (Bootstrap, React, etc)
• Strong understanding of responsive design
• Ability to design wireframes and develop front-end code
• Implement SEO and mobile usability recommendations on the website
• Object-oriented coding style and re-use the codes
• Excellent at adapting to changes and receptive to feedback
• Very high attention to detail
• Superior ability maintain professionalism and cordiality when working with others
• Strong ability to take initiative and complete tasks
• Strong ability to work as a team, with other departments and independently
• Excellent creative abilities for design purposes adhering to the College’s needs
• Work with product managers and designers
• Other duties as assigned by the Web Division Manager
• Strong proficiency in English

Good to have

• Experience with creating software documentation.
• Photo editing and manipulation
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Strong ability of Git (version control software)

Education and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• 2+ years in software development
• Experience developing user facing web sites/applications
