Responsibilities
- Expert ability to hand-code in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for creating, modifying and editing
- Skillful understanding of PHP, mySQL(MariaDB) for maintaining and improving web sites/applications
- Knowledge in front-end website frameworks (Bootstrap, React, etc)
- Strong understanding of responsive design
- Ability to design wireframes and develop front-end code
- Implement SEO and mobile usability recommendations on the website
- Object-oriented coding style and re-use the codes
- Excellent at adapting to changes and receptive to feedback
- Very high attention to detail
- Superior ability maintain professionalism and cordiality when working with others
- Strong ability to take initiative and complete tasks
- Strong ability to work as a team, with other departments and independently
- Excellent creative abilities for design purposes adhering to the College’s needs
- Work with product managers and designers
- Other duties as assigned by the Web Division Manager
- Strong proficiency in English
Good to have
- Experience with creating software documentation.
- Photo editing and manipulation
- Expert in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Strong ability of Git (version control software)
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 2+ years in software development
- Experience developing user facing web sites/applications
